We upgraded to NTRACS Burn V5.0 a little over a year ago and have found a problem when multiple users are logged in. If we have more than one user logged in, the software is slow and unresponsive until the software crashes forcing all users out. We have contacted DI regarding this problem and DI recommended the installation of Advantage Enterprise Enhanced Version service. DI explained that is a service that runs on the server and allows more calls and threads to the database - kind of like opening more doors for people to run in and out of - so the end result is it makes NTRACS faster. DI's explanation results in speed, but does not specifically address the issue of multiple users being unable to access the software simultaneously. Of course, the University will not install this service on the existing department server and is requiring NTRACS Burn V5.0 and this special service be moved to a virtual server which all carries a substantial fee.

We are inquiring if anyone else is having difficultly with mutliple users being unable to access the software simultaneously and if so, how did you fix it.

Hello, my name is Barbara. I am the TRACS Coordinator for the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, GA. I have been using TRACS for 10 years now. We upgraded to version 5 in June of '08. When you say multiple users, how many? Are you aware that only 5 users can be on at one time? I vaguely remember getting an error message, but not a total shutdown, when the 6th user tried to get on during an entry blitz right before verification; that is how I discovered that our NTRACS user license only allows 5 users. DI can upgrade your license (for a fee) to cover more users. Thanx,
