 Post subject: Patiwents admitted to burns FROM another service

What do you do with a patient that is admitted to the burn service from another service in house (ie. trauma)? Do you track from the original admission date or do you start tracking from the day they come to the burn service?

For admission time we enter the time/date the patient was transferred to our burn service and track from then on. This is possible for us because pts do not usually have burn procedures until after they are on our service
